This past weekend, the Forum for Research and Policy in Communications held a conference at the University of Ottawa titled “Rebooting Canada’s Communications Legislation.” The well-attended event focused on the challenges facing law and policy in an environment of rapid change brought on by the Internet, and featured suggestions, insights, and analysis from many of Canada’s leading communication lawyers, scholars, and former government officials.
I am working on some post-conference analysis, to be posted here over the next little while. For the time being, I thought I would share a record I compiled of the social media activity surrounding the event. CPAC’s film crew was on site, and I’ll be sure to update the page once the video becomes available.
Here is an archive of the roughly 800 tweets that feature the conference hashtag #newcomlaw, in chronological order, in both excel and PDF formats.
